Traffic Jam - Part of every Wheel on Road
Traffic Jams detrimental to Economy, Time, Health, Environment and what not
Traffic gridlock or Traffic Jam has
turned out to be part and parcel of our everyday life.
This bottleneck
situation creates choked surroundings that irritates both body & mind. Not
only an individual, the health of the environment is also infected as it
contributes to the air pollution at an alarming rate.
Surprisingly, we all are
aware about the deteriorating condition and the reasons for the same but we
fail to strike a balance between our materialistic needs and social
responsibilities.
With the rapid industrialization &
urbanization, the private vehicle ownership has also increased, and people are
more inclined to the usage of road network.

Journey with full of Brakes - Traffic Jam |
The short-term impact may be long
queues, endless delay, psychological frustration but the long-term impact will
be vandalization of our internal organs and harming the health of the planet
due to wastage of fuel and emission of toxic gases.
During emergency, the
ambulance and fire brigades have to face the obstacles that can lead to
untoward incidents. Almost all have witnessed the panic and tears of the family
members stuck with one of their beloved in the ambulance and trying to provide
clearance to shorten the delay. None of us in life should be in the same
situation.
This problem needs to be addressed and monitored at regular interval of time to cope up with consequences. The expansion and improvement of road facilities along with attraction to other modes of transport (local trains, metros) but with an eye on not disturbing the environment (cut down of trees); more emphasis to shift for public transport; peak hour tolls for major roads, adequate effective traffic signals; these all measures are primitive steps to deal with the same. New schemes, plans and strict enactment of existing traffic laws also need to implemented.

Above all, the real solution lies within
oneself. Unless we opt for better alternatives and realize the affects, the
situation will continue to worsen.
